yeah bro im not worried about it here in SC but i do go to other states, so i dont wanna get ****ed with while out of state. lets just say its better to not attract more attention than you have to and make yourself a target. anyways the upturned dual exhaust tips on the circuit sport exhaust is something i really dig and the price tag isnt bad at all for the look i want.

see the thing is did he dyno the car before he started adding parts? as everyone knows there are different types of dynos and if he had it dynoed from the beginning then you can truley see the gains. i know if you drop in a SR and have it dynoed on a dynapack(known to read low) your numbers will say your only making around 122 rwhp. not knowing what TDC has lets say they have a Dynapack and all things being equal chris has a SR in his car and it reads 211 whp thats a 89 whp gain over stock, which in turn means that his motor does make around 300 hp.

also for future reference when buying parts dont get caught up in the numbers they claim because you dont know if they are talking about engine hp or wheel hp.

Quoted for truth. dynos are for sissys and trailer queens. All I need to know is that I have enough power to slide...hahaha

yeah bro people forget to remember a dyno is a just a tuning tool plain and simple. go drop 5k into your motor and then dyno it without dynoing it stock then your going to be pissed, but in all honesty its stupidity. also if dynoing your car while tuning be sure to use the same type of dyno because a dynajet and a dynapack are going to give different numbers, stick with the same dyno. a stock 145hp pignose 240sx will only net 86.2whp stock on a dynapack. all things to think about.

Yeah i dont know what was up with their dyno (or my car) when i ran. although my car didnt feel any different on the way up there or right after it was dyno'ed. For the record, i did have my car dyno'ed at TDC when it was stockish (fmic, dp, exhaust and 11psi boost). It made 205tq/203hp. Went back with new injectors, tuned, a new elbow, and a bigger turbo running 18psi and it said i made 211 hp. my car should be making right around 300. **** i ran a buddy of mines 310whp ka-t hatch and i was right with him the whole time. something wasnt right. but oh well. thats the way **** goes sometimes right?

their dyno probably was not calibrated correctly some systems download their software from the web and it sometimes is not downloaded incorrectly or the computer messes up while downloading that would then in turn not meter correctly. Most of the time when a vehicle is put on a dyno it is not to see how much horse power it will make it is to acccurately tune the A/F of the vehicle. so your car probably makes 300+ horse power, its the dyno that was most likley wrong its not always about the numbers it about having fun, right?

well damn, if he can take me out where does that leave you?? you know I prefer to get down sideways. I made the headlight out of the spares I had. I wanted to test of the idea. I'll be doing mine tomorrow or tuesday.

Hey guys... kinda new to the site but not that new. I have been trying to find someone to trade my Probe GT for a 240sx and I finally got a bite. So now I got myself a 240. It needs some work but it gets me from point a to b. Its 90 model. Got lots of plans for it. So if you guys have any suggestions let me know and if any of you guys have SR20 swaps done I might need your help when i get ready to get mine done.

ha haa ha that story sounds alot like mine, i have to ask what year probe did you trade? i had a 89 probe gt that i traded for my old 93 hatch, and i have a friend that sold his 90 probe gt to buy his 91 hatch. if your probe was a first gen GT(in my books the only real probe gt was the first gen because they were turbo and the fastest of all the probes) then all i have to ask is whats up with people getting rid of their turbo fwd cars for NA rwd cars?.....lol.

I was a 96 Probe. I just been wanting a 240 for a while and they are a lot easier to tune than the probe is. you have to fab everything for a probe. they actually sell parts for a 240.

Do you guys have any meets?

WHY PROBES?

well i'll tell you, they are awesome handling fwd cars, they were actually made by mazda so that makes it better than a honda, and they are faster than what people give them credit for. i guess i should go ahead and give you some background info on the probe that i had. the probe i had was actually an undercover cop car in florida and yes the title stated that, i was told it was bored over when it was a cop car but i had no paper work to prove that it was only the word of the cop that drove it and bought it after it was retired. well when i got it in my hands the first thing i did was get a chipped ecu for it and throw on a more accurate boost gauge because the stock boost gauge sucked and a boost controller. my interior was stripped down to the sheet metal saving some pounds. i was only running 10 psi and the ***** was spanking up on mustang gt's and trans am's all day long. i actually ddint drive it much because i was building it to be a drag car, back in the day when i had more bucks than brains....lol.

so im going to ask the question why not a probe for a fun fwd car?

you dont have to fab everything for the probe, unless you didnt know its the same thing as a mazda mx-6 and that there are jdm motors to be had and turbo kits.

To be perfectly honest I didn't expect such a thought out response....hahaha my only response really..is that its a ford..and it's a probe....I guess if you get past that more power to yah. I guess it's one hell of a sleeper!

its only a ford in name, when you open the door is says plain as day Manufactured by Mazda for Ford Motor Company. the probe is just a Mazda MX-6 with a different body and thats it. it would be like if nissan would have sold the 240 coupes and let chevy sell the 240 hatches, it would still be a nissan at the end of the day just with a chevy badge. but yeah they are one hell of a sleeper because alot of people dont know much about them and tend to be shocked when you whoop that *** on the street.
