Ok guys... On my way to meet up with Black and Gold... poof .. the transmission gave out. So now I am in need of a 5 speed transmission... BTW .. I managed to save the 255/40r17's .. sorry Pat.. the 18's had to go, but I'll keep on eye out for some more for ya.. Anyhow, does anyone know of a decent 5 speed floating around? I can pick up if need be, just not looking to get a blown/tore up one. Any help would be great.

I'm pretty sure any 5-speed 240 transmission will work if you swap bellhousings. The SR and KA transmission are the same except the bellhousings. I have been kicking around the idea of the 300zx transmission swap - cost to do it is still a bit high though. For right now any 240 manual will do... any help from anyone would be great. Thanks guys. Looks like I may be pulling a transmission tomorrow..lol.

damn that really sucks man. a friend of mine has an sr transmission but something is weird about it. for some reason the gearing is all off, he was at like 3k at 50mph or something. he just went ahead and swapped the bellhousings on a ka transmission.

no, not at all. 200 at the most, as they are probably on their last leg

200? seriously? 450 shipped is a great deal if everything is straight with them. theyre coilovers man, dont expect them to be cheap no matter what brand they are. i know quite a few people rocking megans with no problems or complaints for 10k plus miles. how many sets of blown megans have you seen selling? personally i havent seen any.

hear anything about the coils? you havent talked to chris anymore about his have you? buying those from him might be a little better idea. he is local and i k now for a fact the coils are in great shape. not sure if he still wants to sell them, just a suggestion though and 650 is a good deal for them.

he said he's going to send me a picture of them asap and he will ship them as soon as he gets the money. I just told him i wont send him the money until i see pictures of the coilovers. I called him a couple of times a few days ago but he didnt answer. I told him i could give him $600 for them now but he hasn't called back yet.

pretty much my exact thoughts. last time i talked to the guy about the megans for $450 he said he's been real busy lately so i guess he hasnt had time to take them off the car yet. Im getting pretty impatient because i want those damn things so bad.

I went to my Discount Tires, i told them to watch the wheels and that they cost more then what they make in 2 weeks. They agreed that if they screwed them up they'd order me some new ones.

Kesean, should have just went KA : P Im just playing man.

Im raking in money these days. Pretty soon i'll have my own car boosted( hopefully within the next month or so)
