I am quite sure i can use the Intake manifold. Im going to have a friend take care of the turbo manifold if i can get the material. Why not turbo the Maxima is the real question? I'd just like to work my way around to other Nissans now that i've touched on EVERYTHING with a 240

Turbo FWD V6's have one major problem, the cross over pipe.Basically when you have a sideways v6 youve gotta get the right exhaust manifolds to match the application and turbo of course. But, theres a second problem, the engine torques, and youve gotta have two pieces of flexable metal comming off of the exhaust mani going to your turbo. Its a pain in the *** to get working right.

But a boosted maxima not only would be quick, but a sleeper from hell.

dayum, turbo max. i'd hate to think i'd be coming out on top at the track then get blown away. rode in one the other day, i didnt' think they were that comfortable.

but oh oh oh oh oh, i was in winston-salem last night and went to park in the cherry-marhsall street parking garage and saw a fella in a black primered down coupe running gold meshies out back and blackies up front. sounded like a single cam to me, but there was a MKIII between us.

i tried to follow him to the top, but the girlfriend was getting mad since she thought she'd have to walk all the way back down hahahaha(elevators)

would be pretty awesome if he was on here

Did you or anybody do anything with the wiring in the car that you sold me? I just wanna check before I start do something with it.
I really didn't do a whole lot with that car, and as far as wiring goes, I don't think anyone else has either. I'd ask Guiedo though, it was his car before.

So Pat, you're going to turbo a Maxima? You said it was a GLE so I'm assuming its automatic. I have a 95 GLE that is in the process (sort of) of getting the motor replaced, so when I get done, I will have a spare parts motor laying around I can sell things off of. Probably going to wait til the new motor is up and running, but it seemed like a good running motor before, just had blown headgaskets and who knows how far it was driven like that, so I'm swapping it out.

Actually I bought the car, and the plan was my buddy was going to fix it and then we'd sell it and split the profits, but he's being a lazy-*** so I don't know if its ever going to happen.

If you get serious and start to accumutate parts, let me know. There's a guy whose screen name I'll have to dig up for you. He boosted a 4th gen max before selling it for an S14 and swapping in an rb26, but he said the max dynoed in the 400's (hp). He blew several motors, but I think he figured out why before he sold the car, so he'd be a good one to talk to.

No, I meant you ask him. He'll probably pop in here anyway. If not, I'll mention it next time I talk to him.

That would be great to talk to him and get some more info. I've just came up with the idea for now. Once i look at the work and what needs to be done i will make my choice.

Welcome CNICKK, nice choice of vehicle. Where about in the metro are you? I'm in St.Andrews near I-26 so maybe I'll see you around or something.

Hey does anyone happen to have a sohc-ka exhaust manifold laying around that they don't need. I've developed a crack about 3" in mine and the noise is soooo obnoxious..

What do you guys think of this? I might decide to trade him straight up for my daily driver. I want him to get more pics first, though.

Imagine how I feel I love Initial D and then I find a car such as this. It kind of made me laugh, but I am going to be cautious with this as it does have a Rebuilt title.

doing the 5-speed swap too.... more fun than humans should be allowed..working upside down in drivers seat w/bad back... awesome...and then realizing the space the little green box is all I needed to be able to fit normal drill under dash .... finding out little green box needed to come out anyway after spending 2 days w/a dremel cutting hole......priceless..[IMG][/IMG]

my s14 used to be an auto. I've been dealing with the stupid little computer box from the auto for years. I always just tucked it up in the dash and it would always fall out at my feet and I would cuss it out, finally just the other day I took a piece of wire and tied it up. I never bothered to do any research to see if I actually could just unhook it. Haha I'm retarded.
