made the decision that quick huh? I think me and Jordan made a good case for each side... it's a debate I had right up until I swiped the card and bought the SR, and still have. good luck on whatever you end up with. I say do whatever you're going to do with your motor first. You're still having trouble with it right? Then do your 5 lug swap and wheels, and suspension in either order you choose.

there you go. of course its not "typical" to get those kinds of numbers on a stock block without spinning a bearing on number three, but it is possible. but there are quite a few around with 400+ on stock internals that have been running like that for a few months or something.

i would say do suspension/brakes first, but i guess if your car is running that bad and you dont think its a simple fix then do that. dibs on your motor when you swap it though

I'll probably do motor work first and get that done, possibly find some nice cheap wheels to put on for the mean time instead of riding around on steelies. I've already bought the brakes and am doing them this weekend so that will come later on down the road.

wiring sucks but yeah, is it something in the wiring that he did? has it ever run, if so what did it do? if the turbo is ****ed up its gonna need a new manifold to fit that t3/t4.

Wuz up all, just checking in. That KA-t was totally awesome, I would never consider throwing that much to a motor w/ stock internals.

An update on my car...still sick, haven't had resources to figure out the problem yet, but I suspect that timing belt is due soon due to the clickity-clack I here when I crank it up. I was also thinking that I should replace my O2 sensor with hopes of improving gas mileage. Not too much to say other than HELLO to everyone..peace.

Not sure if it ran before. I'll have to ask. I know he got Project Auto Salon to do the wiring and he said they ****ed it up. I'll get in contact with him right now on CN. Im not worried about needing a new manifold. This will be a project. I have a Red Jeep Cherokee to drive around in the mean time. He's even going to put in a SAFCII that he was going to sell seperate.

Here's what he said:

"as far as the car running...the car DID run when it left PAS but i did not own the car then. however the previous owner told me this and Jason also told me this. the car will start if you throw some starter fluid in the intake. in fact it starts right up no prob.i know the fuel pump works cause its a walbro and they whine when they prime when you start the car and it is def doing that."

Maybe one weekend you could come down and i'll pay for the trip and see if you can fix it. Im definately going to be doing this. I've always loved the CA's and this is a deal i have to jump on.

how about this

Mark Mazurowski's car has the title of America's quickest and fastest 240SX. he ran a 9.28@154 MPH and his car has a SR20DET. Honestly im sure that he has ran it even faster by now due to the fast that this was printed in the August 06 issue of Modified Mag.

im looking for the info on the fastest KA. i know plain and simple both can be made to go fast as crap.

ok i found some 240sx drag times

9.150@157 6.000@125 1.58 S14 Jason Herrera 9.152@157 5.964@122 1.44 S14 Ivan Phipps 9.220@155 6.000@122 1.38 S14 Mark Mazurowski

so my Mark Mazurowski info was a little outdated but at the time his was the fastest. Now to find out what Jason Herrera and Ivan Phipps have under the hoods

That thing is seriously a beast. I can't wait until it's done. I'm not even mad that it's going to be way faster than me. I was getting tired of having the fastest 240 among us anyways.

I'm thinking about ordering a front mount off ebay this weekend. I guess I need to do a battery relocation first though. So I might do that this weekend then order the fmic when I get more money. Of course i could probably order the front mount now and make enough money to pay for a battery relocation by the time it came. Idk. Does anybody have anything bad to say about ebay intercoolers? I figure you can't beat 100 bucks...

yeah Jordan but what does Jason Herrera have under his hood because his is faster than Ivan's??? does he have a sr? ka-t? rb? hell does he even have a nissan motor in it?

also that stuff i wrote on mark was from august of 06 and then i even went and said that the info was a little outdated and then i posted the 3 fastest 240 times in order which clearly shows that marks car is no longer the fastest. by saying "sorry, ivans faster, and its a ka-t, like i said. 9.1@157" shows that you dont read what was said at all or you like trying to be a smartass which doesnt work at all for you man, cause it was fuuny reading that after i posted the timeslips.

i just wanna know what a s13 with a 1000hp RB will do in a 1/4 mile? hell maybe we all need to get together and make that happen.

If the car holds together, I think it would be pretty awesome. I'm willing to donate my s13 for that. You all know I've had my sights set on a RB under da hood.

Ebay fmic...idk about those. Intercooler efficiency is important especially as you raise the boost levels. Additionally the type of intercooler will play a part in that ie. bar&plate vs. tube and fin.

hmmm, coulda sworn that all the times you posted were 9.2+. and you tried to disprove me first. and the only info i can find on jason herrera is that his car has a 2jz. thats lame.

well that sucks that he has a 2jz in his s14. so that means the fastest 240 has a 2jz then next the KA-t then lastly is the SR. hmmmmmmmm well im going to have to say even though Jason Herrera's 240 has the fastest time slip im going to have to say that Ivan has the fastest because he is running a nissan motor. ohh the whole arguement about whats better a SR or KA-t well as we can all see both are good and no matter what route a person decides they can both be monsters.

pretty much. even though i dont really like seeing a 2jz in a 240, it would be crazy to see a 1500hp 240.
