Directly from the NavTool page, "NavTool is video-in-motion enabled, so the video image will stay on the screen even with the car in motion, however we do not recommend doing this." There's also a toggle switch that comes with it that switches it from nav to dvd.
The reason I saw this and immediately wanted to buy is because my kids and I like road trips. I sat in the back seat the other day to see if you could even see the screen from the back and every seat has a nice view of it. No more tacky headrest strap on screens with wires everywhere.
