I just received my DVD (finally) after a LONG wait

Anyways, just a brief overview. There will be 2 dvd's that arrive. The first is the system update dvd and the 2nd is the navigation DVD. It takes a while (about 5-10 mins) for the system to update so I just sat in my car and surfed the web on my little iPhone.

Fyi, your AC WILL turn on and it WILL be on full blast and you can't do anything about it I just closed all vents except the rear ones and sat there.

Once the updates are done and you are prompted (by beeps) to enter your next DVD, put in your navigation DVD and you're good to go. It may take a little while before it notices your location but that's normal. I had the map of LA pulled up for a while before it switched :D

Supposedly, you can get a 3-D view of landmarks and such but since I haven't been downtown or close to any major centers in Bird's Eye View, I have not seen any changes. I'll check over this weekend.

The map density seems better and the text seems to be centered better for Plan view but Bird's eye view is still a little cluttered for my liking. Even so, a lot of the newer roads and highways in my area show up now and that was precisely why I purchased this DVD

My $0.02.
