Navigation - zip code

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

I have a 2008 EX35. The navigation does not allow zip code entry. Is there a way to upgrade the system?

Are you sure?

Have you read the owners manual and service manual to be sure?

Something isn't right there. It could be a setting issue, I would check the manual.

Check your region settings

You will find this under the DEST submenu. Click the picture of the USA and select the segment of the country you live in.

Since your original post lacks specific details what you might be looking for might not be available.

There is no way to search by zip code...it is far too vague. You can do phone number though.

I just read these replies for the first time. I rented a Hertz and the first entry in their navigation was by zip code. It made the process of entering an address much easier. I subsequently called Infiniti and the manufacturer of the EX35 Navigation and they said you cannot enter a zip code for the destination. You must enter the city and state.

Many people compare products to determine desirable features. If you want to enter a destination in a navigation system entering by zip code is a great feature. I have a Magellan portable navigation device that it very old and outdated. The Hertz navigation was the first that time I saw the zip code feature. It saved a lot of time. Now new Magellan GPS products have the zip code feature. I would have thought that since the EX35 is a new premium vehicle it might have a more current navigation system. I also wanted to know if the feature was available with the EX35, that's the reason for the post.

However, I very much like the EX35.
