Navigation while on a bluetooth call

I just bought a 2011 SL with the Premium package. Overall, a very nice car and I am very happy.

I noticed that while using the phone:

* you cannot enter a new destination to navigate
* much more painful: if you are already navigating somewhere, the screen mostly shows the phone call information with only minimal nav info. This is really silly.

I am hoping that there is some way to change this (could not find anything so far...)

Am I the only one that's bothered by this? This is very annoying... you're practically losing navigation if you use the phone...

This certainly sounds annoying. I'm thinking of getting a Rogue '11 with nav too, did you find a solution for this yet? At least, does it tell you the directions with voice? Or just displays the minimal info?

It shows a box on the left with a arrow showing the direction to turn and the number of miles to go to get to the turn. I've actually never played around with simultaneousness Bluetooth and NAV functions. I dont make it a habit to talk try to talk on the phone, view the road and watch the NAV screen while Im on a route unknown to me. Seems kind of dangerous, if you ask me.

So this isn't a problem for me.

and..... if I am on a phone call while using the navigation system.... the navigation ceases to give me audio instructions. Is there a solution to at least get the audio to speak up?

Making a phone call while driving is already distracting, and you want to set the navigation at the same time? If you are on route, the screen will still show you your next turn. You don't want the voice guideance to jam in while on the phone. It is very annoying and you will miss the conversation which is most likely more important (if the call is not important, no reason to talk over the phone while driving, especially when you are not familar with the area).

Reviving my old thread... Has anybody found a solution for this annoying problem? Is there a Nissan firmware upgrade?
