I have a 2003 G35 Sedan with Navigation. Where can I get a more recent Navigation DVD. I currently have Version 6.0 from 2001. The dealer sent me to Zenrin.com, but $190 to update seems a little crazy to me. I would like the version 6.6, which just came out. Anyone have any ideas. I've been searching the forums for some alternatives, and there seem to be none.

No, you really don't have to many alternatives except for buying a new nav system. The system is programed to read those discs, if you stick in a different disc it won't know what to do with it just as if you put in a DVD movie into a computer that can only read CDs.

yes they are expensive which is retarded...i think updates should be free and be done like wireless straight to your car like a computer. but that price is the same for honda....

Would it be possible to burn a copy of the Navigation DVD, and use the copy in my vehicle. That way if I were to "lose" or "misplace" my original, I would be covered? Right now this is looking like one of the few options. Price gouging breeds ingenuity ! Someone will come up with another option at these prices!

Most likely it has a write protection. If you have anydvd you can do it no problem. It will remove the write protection from it. It is not illegal if you back up your own DVD. It is illegal if you make a copy from somebody's DVD or make a copy for somebody.

I have a backup copy of the 7.2 navi.. Works fine... And yes, it was a biotch to get it to work.. After all the trials and error, I finally got it to work.. finanly found a program and a dvd disc that works perfect.. I'm currently using it now..

if you don't want the 7.2 copy, i can sell you my OEM 7.1 dvdrom.

if not, try ebay.. They have them for decent prices.

let me know if you want one.. I can shot a small clip to prove it works..

It's a backup copy of the 7.2 dvd rom...

i used Verbatim DVD and its loads the fastest with no slowdown.. i tired those cheap EBAY crap dvd and it works, but it pauses and has to "reload" every 4 seconds... with the "Please wait" crap.

i forgot which program i used.. i think it was nero.

Hey...if your sure you have a working version...I'll buy one from you.I'm replacing a "Burnt" version that I purchased off ebay that stopped working. The seller said it was OEM. Let me know... [email protected].

Thanks....oh hey...if I already used the "Update Disk" for the 6.1...do I need to Update again for the 6.6?

Also, I bought a 7.2 off ebay by mistake, if anyone needs it, it's OEM. $80.

Anyone have the latest v7.3? I'm thinking I can buy the original for $190 burn a copy and then sell the OEM version online for $100. If I sell a few other copies I'll probably make back my money
