I've read through the bypass and Nav hack threads, but all seem to be pointing to earlier models. Need to know where it is exactly, and I've looked at all the locations in the threads, but I simply cant recognize it. Does anyone know for certain where it is exactly on a 2010 M45x?

Someone chime in if I'm wrong, but I believe the 10 is the same as the 08, so the 08 instructions will work for you. I would say just take apart the nav unit and if you see the same color wires in the same spot you're good to go.

I saw that, and I think I'm looking for something different. I bought the "plug and play" from Beatsonic, mainly to avoid the directions I saw for both model generations (mine and the pre 08s). The directions included were so generic, that the whole ease of install that I perceived it to be is not turning out that way... And that's the whole appeal of it, and the justification for the added premium.

I read the 2 posts that have this installed, but they were both for 06s.

With the premium (dvd and nav), would it still be in the cupholders?

Here's what I used..

One correction on my 2010x, the post says to just pull on the clock panel and it should give out. Mine had screws on the bottom (2) to keep the plate in place.
