I recently got an 2006 M45 with the Nav/DVD system (premium package) Does anyone know how to bypass the warning that always comes on when you first turn on the Navigation System. You know, the warning that one shouldn't "drive and program Nav system for directions" ect. It's easily turned off once your hit "enter" but it would be nice to NOT have to do that every single time.

Also, is there a way to "open" up the DVD screen for the kids to view the DVD while the car is in motion? My wife sometimes needs to turn on the DVD for the kids in the back to watch without me having to pull off the highway. -b

When/if you find a way to remove that stupid warning I'm all over it! activly looking, I think however is a system re program to do it;

To get the DVD screen down, leave the remote in the glove box, and use that to open the rear DVD screen, and play the movie etc; however its tricky to aim it into the IR reciever... I find with my 7 week old in the back seet, a a littel mirror so we can se her, it reflects the IR really nice into the reciver for my neice when she is with us to watch the movies....

I have to Admit this "security" acount the DVD watching is stupid! they shopul dhave put a way in for the passanger to bring down the display, and hit play etc!

There is an aftermarket site that provides a bypass to the opening screen:

http://www.kptechnologies.com

Look under Products for the Navigation OK Bypass Module.

Agree- that screen is annoying after a while. THe other thing that gets me is when you want to do a voice command you have to hear "Please say a command" --- is there a way to turn that off?
