first i'd like to say hello all nice to meet u! i'm new in town and i'm seeking some advice for my 2004 G35x. mine did not come with the stock navigation system so i was planning to have it installed by the dealer however i have heard that the stock system kinda sucked... and the stock bose system i know sux so my question to u guys is what should i do about getting a navigation system? is there a nice aftermarket one that any of u might reccomend? also if u have suggestions about what i should do about my bose system i would appreciate that, i'm not looking for a serious base pumping system just something better than stock since i'm sure they are gonna blow soon lol.... thanx in advance!!

You should realize that it would be quite expensive to install a factory nav system into a G. The main wiring harness under the dash is quite different and would need to be replaced. Wiring harnesses from the OE are quite pricey. Tack on the actual nav equipment and it becomes easily cheaper just to find a G with the Nav already installed.

The cheapest/easiest option will likely be to get an aftermaket nav unit.

The dealer will actually not install the factory navigation to a vehicle that didnt come equipt with it to begin with, I have asked. I've seen people just get that dash navigation, I think its a Alpine or Avic I dont know, but those seem like a call to get your car broken into.
