So I figure that there isn't anything that can be done, but is there anyway to bypass the "Please pay attention to traffic" message when using the navigation system while driving. For example the wife and I went to visit family and she attempted to set a waypoint for a gas station. Right before you are able to set it, we would get the message.

Now since she is the passenger you'd think the passenger wouldn't need to pay attention to the road. Anyways, we were able to set the destination as the gas station but not as a waypoint. Then after filling up we would again set our final destination in the GPS and go along our mary way. Seemed a little silly to me, especially as I paid more attention to find a way to find a way to find a way to the gas station.

Tldr; Is there a way to utilize the navigation from the passenger seat while driving? 2015 SL.

You can buy an expensive bypass that has to be professionally installed, which to use you have to press a button to make the Nav system think it is not in motion and then press it again when done... which IMO is too much effort.

Otherwise the only alternative is to stop the car. Nissan too scared of being sued by stupid people I guess to let a passenger operate the system, which means we all have to suffer.

Does it do the same thing if you use the voice recognition instead of the buttons?

Thanks for the reply's. So I gave the voice controls a shot, and I believe I was turned off by them cause it was a little clunky. Yet after fiddling, I see how someone can get proficient with it.

Honestly I was looking for something that tsumeone suggested, but the voice guidance worked exactly like it should and was able to access the controls I was looking for. I question how much safer it is than a passenger enter in the information, but either way thanks for the insight. So kudos farrisfan, your my hero of the day.

And tsumeone, if you have a link to the bypass I am still curious about it. Thanks.

These guys make them, but I don't think they have one for the 2014+ Rogue yet. http://www.prestigioussociety.com/
