Navigation on screen scroll question?

When I bought the car, while the navigation screen is on you could scroll all around the screen with the arrows. If you hit left it would scroll left, if you hit right it would scroll right, if you scoll up it moves up, and so on. This obviously allows you to look forward to streets. Now, when I het the arrow left and right it just spins in a 360 degree angle and wont move left or right. It just stays in place. Also, when I hit the arrows up and down it will move a few inches instead of move gradually where I want it to go. Does anyone know why its doing this and how to get it back to scrolling where I want it to? Maybe there is a setting that I changed and didnt know it. Any help would be appreciated as the closest Infiniti dealership is an hour and a half away and I hate to drive all that way if its a simple fix. Thanks to all for the help.

Well, I figured it out. To all that might be interested, apparently it does this type of movement with the birdseye view. When you put it on the plan view it works like I remember it working. I looked through the nav manual tonight and so happen to find a page about it. Dont know why it does two different movements between the different views, but that is what it is. When I bought the car it was on the plan view and I just recently switched it to the birdseye view which is when it started. Glad to know its not a problem but just normal.
