The Nav system in my 2013 M37 often times says right when it should say left and vice versa.

Anyone else having this problem? Is it correctable? Any bulletin on it?
Thanks

I don't have Nav in my M. I do use a Garmin and find it can misdirect me. I have to do an update to the software every 6-12 months. Perhaps you are having the same problem? Maybe need a software update?

You have a 2013 take back to the dealer!

I update my disc ever year so we probably have the same disc. Seems like it's an error on the NAV disc and I'm not sure the dealer (or anyone else) can fix that aside from NavTeq who makes the discs.

I intend to bring it up with the dealer next week when I get the oil changed. I was just trying to determine how widespread this problem might be or if there may have been any kind of notice or bulletin put out. Thanks

Milton Larz I don't believe there is a disc in the 2013 car, there is a hard drive
my 2013 does not give wrong direction as your does but their are ways to change the navigation orientation like "birds Eye view " etc. I am hoping you may just have it adjusted wrong I truly never heard of this before.

I should mention it happens when there is a verbal " Your destination on the right" when it should be left.

Don't usually use Bird View but will fool around with it before going to the dealer.
Thanks for your responses.

I wanted to button this string up .
I took my car to the dealer and they informed me that the Nav was not set on the correct region. I don't remember setting the region so it may not have been set correctly when I purchased the car. That seems to have corrected other problems I did not mention like finding a "place" by name.

The dealer also downloaded the latest soft ware fixes and I'll assume for now that "right and left" are fixed. Haven't driven the car that much but am pretty confident that it is all set.

Hope this helps the next guy...

Being able to get fixed under warranty is great, but thanks for posting the solution on the forum. Eventually he next guy may be be moving across country after the warranty expires or in buying an out-of-warranty car on eBay from across the country, so trying to set the region before paying for a dealer diagnostic could save a lot of time and money.
