Navigation map updates

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

What's the best way to go for map updates?

My 2008 map has tons of errors its seems. Are 2009 or 2010 better?

Is it worth spending the $200 for the update?

I just called my local dealer, and he said that they usually do an update in October / November, and suggested that I wait for the newest update to come out. The last update was done about 12 months ago...

I am going to wait through November and see what happens. Once it is available, I am going to do the update.

from my understanding, you buy the 'code' from Infiniti online, and you take it to a dealer who then hooks up a computer and downloads the updated maps for you. The code costs $129 and then you have shop labor.

Hmmm, I don't see availability for 2010. Click compatibilty and it doesn't list any 2010 model.

I get confused many times with this map on my 2010EX. From New Jerseys heading sound on 95, it asks me to keep left to 895. But exit to 895 is on the right???

I wonder how you can tell which version you are presently using or how up to date the maps are? My EX is only 2 months old but I drove on a toll road outside Austin a week ago that's been open for more than a year now and it was not on the map. Very strange driving across a blank area.

Go to your 'info' button. There you can go to your navigation version. it will tell you right there what version you have.
