Navigation graphics update

I have a question about the navigation Update. When u update the software does it just update data or the graphics contents as well? My wife has a 2012 Altima with navigation 10-11 from Navtech and it looks allot better. It operates the same as my M but looks allot better.. Any input?

Dont know for sure but if iys navtech it might do the same upgrade... Older versions just did data. Maybe newer updates are just getting better..

I know for the 06-09 models it just updates the data and not the graphics. I wish it did though and it should for the price they charge

Torrenting it? We can do the update ourselves for the hard drive based nav systems?

Afraid not for hd based. Have to buy from navteq and get a code. Then pay the dealership to install. All in all it will run around $270 just to update. 06-07 models just have to pop in the new disc.

Hey thanks for all the info. I will wait till 11-12. Comes out then purchase. I called Navtech this morning and rep Said usually when the release new map updates they have them at a sale price for 99 dollars. I love the Infiniti Navigation esspecially with XM Traffic. It really works when in Austin or San Antonio. Just was hoping to get a better graphics package with purchase.
