I have programmed the nav in my G37 coupe a couple of times for a trip. On each occasion the system accepted the destination. Went to "start" and then "calculate" and off we went. Destination was on the screen. However, each time I pushed "voice" to hear progress it told me to get off at the next off ramp or street. Was always the wrong advice. It was as if it wanted me to go to "home".

Anyone else have this issue and is there another/different step in here? Appreciate anyones experiences.

Thanks, buddyrough

not sure...This is what it should do:

REPEATING VOICE GUIDANCE
This function is available throughout route
guidance, from the time after the route
calculation is completed until the vehicle
arrives at the destination. Push <VOICE>.
Voice guidance will be repeated.
INFO:
. If you push <VOICE> when you have deviated
from the suggested route and when the
automatic reroute function is off, voice
guidance will announce, “Proceed to the
highlighted route.”
. If you push <VOICE> when you are going in
the wrong direction, voice guidance will
announce: “Please make a legal U-turn if
possible.”

I had a similar problem when I first got my Garmin Nuvi 285WT

When I called customer service they walked me thru the setup. Buried deep in menus I had a setting avoid toll roads checked. It came that way. After unchecking that it has worked fine ever since. I suspect you have a similar issue. Perhaps you should call Infiniti Customer Service as I'm sure others have had the problem. My Garmin was a Black Friday special on Amazon for $119.00.
I was too cheap to get the Nav option when I purchased my G
I probably will get it on my next G as it has the backup camera and a few other items. Also my 401k plan is doing better now.
