I have a 2015 Rogue SV and have had this issue occasionally. In the past it would point downward and if I shut off the car and restart it the directional pointer would point back upward. I had told this to the dealer but they have brushed it off saying that is normal and since it pointed back upward when I took it there they said there was nothing they could do. Forward to now and issue came back it has not reset this time and have continued to point downward making directions opposite of what it should be. The turn directions on the dash are correct though. The directional pointer sometimes point sideways too. Anyone else has this issue and is there a fix for it? TIA.

There were some serious glitches in the early '14~'15 navi firmware, did the dealer check your AV Unit for version? If not, you can check it yourself. Here's a link to the bulletin, the check procedure is very simple:

If it turns out your navi has dinosaur-ware, have the dealer update it.

VStar650CL thanks for the reply. I will check it out. At this point I dont want to pay the dealer anymore money. I found this thread and might try to update the firmware myself if needed. 2014-2105-rogue-navigation-how-to-updat ... navigation

Yep, I know there's some hackware out there that can be downloaded for a DIY update, I just don't have links to any of it. The update is pretty simple and can be done with the car running so as not to run the battery down (it takes about 40 minutes, so that's a concern). Other than that, just follow the bulletin.

Thanks I will give it a try and report back. The thread I posted has the actual FW update from Nissan that one of the technicians accidently left in someone's car when they updated it :)

So I figured out my issue. I did not update the firmware yet. I'm probably an idiot and didnt know that the bottom left hand corner of the GPS there is a compass. A friend of mine pressed that and the map corrected itself by always pointing upward. So when it wasnt pressed it would always point North and hence my map would show all different directions.

Lol yep, you must have accidentally dragged the map at some point. On most Nissan navis, the compass will follow if you do that. Glad you got it figured out, have a great Christmas and New Year!

Yeah I must have did it accidently at some point many times before. Not sure how it corrected itself so many times. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you too!
