I need help with my 2007 Infiniti M35. My navigation/radio/entire control unit freezes up or completely goes out. Now it is happening almost every day. When screen goes black, all control buttons on the center consol stop working. I took it to the dealer and was told that the navigation control unit (part 25915EJ37B) needs to be replaced at $4300. This seems very pricy with 57000 miles on the car. I have not found this part at any online auto part sites. eBay has some old units but last 3 numbers do not match up. Is there any way to repair these units? Anywhere I could find this cheaper? Are there any after-market solutions? I would appreciate any help here.

Unfortunately there aren't after market devices with direct plug and play available. Too many integrated points. If you're handy take the components out, unplug all harnesses and reconnect. Including the display, control pad, disc changer, nav control unit in the glove box and DVD player if you have it in the armrest compartment. At least to reseat the connectors in case corrosion is causing a short. Numbers don't necessarily have to be exact as long as it's from the same model year and has the same options.

^^^^^ +1 (assumption) I don't know the 07 nav set up, but unless you are looking at the nav vs none nav version I don't see why anyone shouldn't be compatible, my 2 cents. First thing I think I'd do is research the part numbers and see which car they go to to see the feature differences they have if there are any. That will give you an idea of what to expect if a wire in the harness might have been used for something else...but unlikely.

Thanks for your reply. I have purchased a navi control module for 2007 M35 from eBay. The dealer said that they would not install because of the warranty issue. I plan to take it a mobile audio place to see if they would swap my old one out and if the problem would go away.

Thanks so much for your reply. I assume you are talking about the Navi control unit in the glove. How do you pull the existing one out?
