Hi everyone,

Just bought my 2007 Murano S 2 days ago. It comes with the screen showing maintenance, radio, etc. Could I have the factory navigation system installed onto that? Will Nissan do that for me?

Thanks

I'm looking to have the same question answered regarding a 2005 without factory Nav. Would like to get the factory Nav installed. Anyone have a part number? Thanks!

as a former nissan salesman, i can tell you that Navi is an 1800 dollar sticker price add on, and like anything else, that's with a markup. paying the same markup at the dealership parts counter and possibly saving on labor if you're savvy, it could be a worthwhile venture. best of luck either way you go. having driven every vehicle on the lot, i can confidently say you have the nicest vehicle nissan has produced in quite some time.

I currently have a 2004 350Z with Navi and have just ordered a 2007 Murano.

I omitted the Navi on the Murano in favor of mounitng a Garmin Street Pilot c330 which Best Buy sells for $350. The wife uses the Garmin in her Mustang and just loves it.

Reason: I find the Garmin performs better in most areas than the 2004 version of the Zenrin system in the "Z". (Yes, the Nissan Navi has been improved since 2004 and I am not familiar with all the current bells 'n whistles.) The only shortfall that I don't like is the lack of inserting waypoints in the Garmin. We overcome it by setting intermediate destinations. For example, to go from our SW Florida home to our Michigan home I just set several destinations which I name N1, N2, etc. ("N" for Northbound).

For a $1500 difference, I will happily use the Garmin

i agree, and for $580 they have two garmin models that allow for the programming of waypoints, though i don't know the difference between the two.
