Recently purchased a 2010 M35x with 30K mi. My question is that prior to taking from dealer, I had the NAVI upgraded to the 2013 maps, yet it doesn't reflect the current look of the 2013 which I had as a loaner. What up?

Your 2010 M35x can receive updates to your maps via Consult to your car's hard drive, but cannot receive an update or upgrade to the system settings software or "look" of the navigation. 2011 was the first model year that the M37/M56 received the newest and current "upgrade" to the navigation system and system settings software. My opinion is, even though the 2011+ navigation and system settings software looks snazzy, it is not as intuitive and natural as the system you or I have on our Y50 (2006-2010 M35/M45) cars.
