I'm looking to buy a Murano and really want navi. There don't seem to be many of them out there so was considering getting a non-navi car and having the factory add it. Is it possible? Any idea of the cost?

Very very complicated to add the factory one. You would be better off getting an aftermarket one in that case. The factory one would require a dash main harness 8 to 10 hrs job alone. The harness is probably around 700 bucks. Plus I believe you would need other control units since they are all on a CAN [controller are network] system

Yeah, I looked into this myself. The short of it is that you can do it but it would cost you much more time and money than it's even close to being worth. Get a streetpilot / TomTom.
