After 5 years of owning a G, I am really tired of the extremely limited use of the nav system while the car is moving. There has to be some wire or sensor that i can bypass that will stop turning off all the functionality while the vehicle is moving. Does anyone know how to disable this?

I believe there is a wire that goes to the nav unit that tells it if the car is moving or not. I don't know the color of the wire or anything, but if you cut it, you can program it whiloe moving. The problem is the navi will not update your position if there is no speed signal indicating a change in position. Some people have wired it to a switch and turn it off to program it and then turn it back on to continue using the nav normally...
