Looks like Nissan now has an official TSB for the Nav/Radio Reboots and other issues. I had mine done a while back, but I was a "Trial" customer so they didn't have this info available to me.

I don't have a log in to this site so I can't get the TSB info other than the preview listed below. If some is having radio issues they should have their dealer look this up.

If someone has a login to https://www.nissan-techinfo.com/TSB/TSB ... Index.aspx and/or can get the full TSB, I would greatly appreciate seeing the details of this TSB.

SB Nissan Connect Navigation System Software Update

What is the software version you are running after the update? You can find this by going into the service menu by holding the apps button and turning the "tune" knob about 90 degrees left then right a couple times.

Also did this fix the maintenance mileage log problem where it doesnt save the number of miles driven?

Maintenance log problem is not fixed. I personally don't think they are related to the radio, but for some reason the dealer did.

So here is the version info that I jotted down after they did the update. I asked others in a previous thread what their versions were to see if I received new firmware or if they just did a refresh of the existing firmware. No one responded so I still don't know, hence my interest in the full TSB document. I know there was more info in the system on versions, but these below seemed like the logical ones that could have changed.

Software: D025
Hardware: 031
BTHFU: 0x07 0x00 0x2031/ 0x030c
Order No.: 7612051241
SD Card Data version: 2427361921
Apps: 0/2.55/15.5.3/nissanmip-mipgw-....
Meter Version: 0.0.0/0.49.23

If you could please let me know what you have, I greatly appreciate it.

Will post update in a few days what actually changed. And as far I remember before update I had different number of software.

Here is the version of the software on my Rogue which has not been updated. My Rogue was made in January 2014. I have an appointment on Wednesday for the update and to look at the driver window making a clunk sound, but my dealer seems really hesitant to update the software. They said they won't take the TSB from me because it's for Nissan techs only. Getting real tired of this dealer. Never had this issue with Ford - if I asked for an update I knew existed, I got it.

Tsumeone -- I totally understand your frustration. My dealer has 3 service managers. The one I have been working with for the past 6 months was good. He left and now I have this new shmuck who hasn't returned my 2 phone calls over the last 2 weeks. I am about to try another service manager at the facility to get assistance. If they won't do the TSB, then tell them the symptoms and have them "figure out the fix for themselves". As soon as they start searching for the solution, they will find the TSB. If they don't do it, call Nissan America, and the consumer affairs rattle their cage.

I wonder when this bulletin was posted on that site, I was just at the dealer a week or so ago and I also saw a "fix" for my passenger side window switch cover that has a gap in it

Hey, I noticed that the plastic trim on mine popped up sometime while I was driving. Is this actually an issue? Maybe I'll bother them about this too.

My dealer called me today and said Nissan has a fix for the maintenance reminder. I'm scheduled to go in tomorrow so we'll see.

Tsumeone, if you could, please gather any info from the dealer on the maintenance reminder fix (ie TSB number or something like that) so that I can reference the fix when I hit up my dealer.

Alright, went in today and I did get the fix. The new "Meter version" is 0.49.28 (old was 0.49.25). TSB is NTSB 14-067 according to my receipt.

I was not able to get my NAV system upgraded due to the service manager not being present. She had the USB stick with her, so I have to go back for that. Which is fine, because I have to go back once the parts are in for the passenger side window switch trim (revised part) and new regulator for drivers side window (making a clunk sound).

They wrote 14-067 on my receipt for the maintenance thing. It could be wrong, there are lots of typos on this receipt, but that's what I've got.

Thanks for pointing that out. The number here is the correct one. I updated the other topic.

The service advisor said the passenger side window trim was a known problem, but had no fix for it at that time.

They told me they had something posted about it in their system. They said it's a revised part and a piece of foam they have to order. They did put it on order for me.

Glad I read this, wifey mentioned the nav freezing, going blank and then all normal maybe this is part of the issue we have with both phones not being able to connect when we switch cars, we tried it on my Z and all is well but in her in her Rogue we need to pair it every time thanks OP

:offtopic:
Guys, this thread is about the TSB for the NAV system. Please don't hijack a navigation thread to talk about window problems.

Could you split it into its own thread? It would be a shame to lose that information and I do plan to update on the fix once my dealer applies it. I had only mentioned it because another poster in this thread mentioned they had issues with it.

As of now my dealer still has not called me back to get the nav update applied :/

Anyone here from Massachusetts (Boston Area) and was able to have the dealer do the Nav upgrade? If yes, at what dealer and where? TIA.

From Peabody here and would also like to know as well. I'm glad I wasn't the only one who was having this problem.

Anyone who has received an update to their Nav: Have you noticed if the phone bluetooth audio is any different from before? Meaning, currently when talking on the phone via bluetooth and the navigation is on, if the navigation is using audio then the phone audio disappears. Has this changed after the update?

iRogue, I think I understand you correctly. You want to know if with the new firmware, does the Nav interrupt or speak over the audio in a Bluetooth phone call, correct? The answer is yes, it continues to work the same as with the old firmware. As far as I can tell, there were no new options to change that behavior.

I didn't realize this behavior was different in 2014. In 2013, when I'm on a bluetooth phone call, the nav simply doesn't say anything. The phone call takes total priority. Sounds like it's 100% opposite in 2014 models.

It would be nice if they'd make it the same as how the nav talks over the radio, but you can still hear the radio at a lower volume. I guess that's asking too much. It would be nice to be able to make a call while I'm also in an unfamiliar area where I'm really relying on the nav to get me back to a known highway.

Azieba, thank you for. It's really annoying that they can't make a simple software change. When using a smartphone for navigation with audio linked through bluetooth, the nag talks over the radio but you can still hear the radio.

I had the update done on Friday. It may be that my particular tech did a full rest , but post-update I had lost all my radio presets and my phone was no longer paired.

That should have flagged in my head as an possible outcome, but I didn't notice until I was already on the road. If you are going to have it done, check your stuff before you head out.

Just had the update done today, and while I did not notice any feature additions or changes, it does seem to be a bit snappier. Time will tell if this made the radio stable or not. I got the same D025 version as everyone else here.

I know it's been some time since this posting but was curious to know if you ever got your navi updated? Probably. I just got mine done this last time I went to the dealership. The dealership I was at was Nissan 24 in Brockton. A ways from where I lived but that's where I also purchased the vehicle. Anyway...hope all is well. Now I am having the persistent mx log issue but as the moderator pointed out...that's for a different thread.
