NAV SCROLLING ISSUE on '06 G35x ~~ Frustrated!

Hi everyone,

I just picked up an '06 G35x and I LOVE IT!!! After 11 years of Audi's I was a bit hesitant but every time I turn it on hear the engine rip I am pumped!

Anyways in re NAV SCROLLING... Sometimes when i hit the "Joystick" to scroll around the map the map moves in LONG increments ~~~ other times it moves in SMALL increments!!! I cannot figure out how to control it as it has a mind of its own!!! This is problematic as I often cannot scroll over a location I need to make a destination b/c the target keeps moving way past it every time i hit the "joystick".... I've tried tapping and holding to no avail... and the instruction manual does NOT address the issues... just says to push joystick in direction you wish to scroll...

Any ideas???? ... THANKS!!!!!

I understand what you are saying.... I really don't like to scroll for that same reason. I do notice it is different depending on which mode you are in: I prefer to drive with the car in bird's eye view.

Unfortunately, its a hardware/software implementation issue and isn't adjustable to my knowledge. But why can't you just enter the address of the destination? Seems rather redundant to use the manual mode if you already know where it is...

I emailed the dealer and they said that when the car is in MOTION the "target" will scroll in large increments and when it is STOPPED it will scroll in small increments.... This is very annoying and doesnt mnake much sense but at least I know what the deal is.....

Just to answer some of the points... sometimes you dont know the exacrt address but you know where something is and want to pinpoit it as a destination.... other times you want to add waypoints on the fly perhaps get around a mess.... othertimes its just easier to target a street rather than typing in the address b/c there is NO TOUCH SCREEN on th '06 which is one of the very few things dissapointing about the car.....
