That would be virtually impossible though...you press it once and it shuts the car off completely, no one would ever wait a second or two and then press it again before exitingunclefester wrote: Sounds like you're leaving the push button start button in either the accessory mode or the on mode when you exit the vehicle.
Yes, it is unlinkely one would intentionally do that and then wonder why the nav screen is on, but one could shut the car off while it was in neutral, leaving the switch in the Accessory mode. One might assume it is in Off mode at this point, as looking at the light doesn't come as naturally as noticing the key wouldn't pull out. That said, it might also possible that one could put the car in Park and a sensor could still cause the ignition to go te Accessory thinking the car is not in Park, that might be a stretch, though...dvan wrote:That would be virtually impossible though...you press it once and it shuts the car off completely, no one would ever wait a second or two and then press it again before exiting
The switch is probably going bad.EdHunt wrote:I'm having a problem with my start/stop button in that when I push it to stop it only goes to acc not all the way to off. I have to do it several times to get it to go all the way to off. I have tried moving the shifter to see if its not all the way into park, but that doesnt seem to do it. Any suggestions? By the way, it does eventually go to off if i keep turning it off and on.
