There is a thread somewhere, I don't remember if its hear or another site, about upgrading the nav screen of the M from an 07 or 08 to an 09. I've searched and can't find it. Does anyone recall seeing it or where it is?

not sure what you'll gain with this mod. i remembered folks who have updated their buttons from 06 to 08 but some of the keys are "mis-aligned"

The only advantage the 09 screen is that it has touch and my 07 did not. The 09 colour scheme of the screen is also a better -looking design.
The disadvantage is that, at least in my opinion, the 09 screen lacks the clarity of the 07 screen. Even adjusting for brightness and contrast, it is not as clear or as visible in day or night as the 07 screen was. On the 09 screen, the mpg is shown in a bar graph so you have no idea exactly what the mpg is. You know it's something between 15 and 20, 20 and 25, etc but no idea beyond that. The 07 screen displays an actual number. The 07 fuel screen also has a floating gauge that shows you real-time mpg based on your foot while driving which the 09 does not have.
I rather fancy the 07 over the 09 screen personally.
As for the rest of the dash and controls I absolutely love the blue-white colours of the 09 Vs the amber colours of the 07.

Sorry, I meant 2010 not 2009. Higher resolution.

I wish the system wasn't integrated so I could buy an aftermarket Navi such as the Kenwood DNX8120 or Pioneer AVIC-Z2 I had in my Maxima.
