Thank you for the information and that is exactly what I did.
After the test drive, I was not certain if I wanted to buy the M45x I went there to look at. There was nothing wrong with the vehicle, it was the interior color that I was not pleased with. THe dealership was dead all day until JR and I arrived. Within 10 minutes two other couples arrived and both were looking at the M.
In the end, I bought it and the dealership will, along with a couple of other things, update the NAV when the new maps come out; which I read somewhere in these pages is next month. After that, they will install all future updates for free all I need do is pay NAVTEQ for the code.
FNAWSM wrote:yeah, you can go into settings and then scroll down to the bottom of the navigation tab and the last menu option will say something like "nav version" or something along those lines. You select that and it will say the version and year of the maps.
do your best to get this mixed into the price because it will run you around $170 for the update and another $150ish to have the dealership install the update on the HD navigation.
