Nav Question

Current G series are using 8 series Nav,my understanding is that Infiniti is
going to a series 9.Will the 9 series work with say a 2010 Nav system installed
in the G37?

I ask this question because I found out my 2010 G has a map from 2008/2009
and in order to get a current map I need to get approval from Navteq for a
price of $139 for Infiniti to download into my series 8 car.Prefer going with series 9
if possible.

I'd contact an Infiniti dealer. They have to do the work anyway...loading new maps is not as straight-forward as some think. There will also be a labor charge....basically, they have to remove the deck to plug into the hard drive. Takes 30 min to an hour.

i need to look into this but i last remember my map was from jan 2010, my car was produced in febuary 2010.

Plus there was also a map patch/fix my car received along with the ipod/bluetooth fix/patch they released some months ago.

I have the map patch fix along with ipod/bluetooth fix/patch.
purchased car in September 2010 and have version.
