Nav Map Upgrade

Where can I get an upgrade or how can I go about upgrading my map system. I'm finding that some things aren't accurate anymore I would like to get the 2008 map upgrade. Does it do it through the cd player?

Its a new DVD disc that you obtain through your dealer. They can be had on eBay for fairly cheap also.

Yup, I got mine on Ebay for $125. I think I could have fought it out with the dealership, but I just didn't want the hassle.

Ok, let me get this straight...

Your car is a 2008....And the Nav is not updated??? And you think you have to pay? If that is true....That sucks.....

Yeah, this has been discussed before. The NEW nav disc came out in october or november, so any cars built before then dont get an updated nav disc, but cars built after these months, should be able to get the free update since they should have already been in your car.

I was told I'd have to pay. for v 7.3 disc 190 bucks, mine came with 7.2, got the car in September...kinda crappy if anyone knows how to get the update free let me know, hell I am so irritated I am considering buying a disc and buning a crapload of copies and sending it to everyione I know with the nav system

Are the Nav upgrades simply for the maps, or do they include bug fixes/feature additions to the Nav software ?

This sucks. I got my car on Sep 30 last year, so I must have missed the update by a couple of days or so. I'll need to check with my dealership and see if I can get it for free or not. So far the maps have been accurate for my trips, but it would still be nice to get the update.

I just bought my car 2 weeks ago with 21 miles on it and my map version says 2006-2007? Shouldn't it be 2008?

It depends on the manufacturing date of your car, not when you bought it. Ask the dealer service department to look up the manufacturing date from your vin number.
