NAV MAP UPDATE

First, I gotta say, I don't like this new software! PITA!

Ok, Navteq having a sale on updated map for $99 till end of the month. But, of couse, have to go to the dealer and give them the Navteq supplied authorization code for the update..incurring a fee.

I have searched forums and been unable to find an answer...does anybody know the programming procedure to do this yourself? I assume it is done via the CD player but there most be some secret button pushing sequence to make it happen.

The navigation software is updated using a special cable connected to the compact flash port that the dealer has.

Welcome to NICO you guys!

The way Infiniti designed the NAV to be updated is not something you can do at home. There's special cable/equipment that's needed and it takes about an hour for an experienced tech to do.

I remember a post on this a while ago...search the forum if you'd like more details.
