NAV help needed...

Discussion of Infiniti's amazing (and underrated) sport-luxury crossovers, the EX35 and EX37. For 2014, the EX series will be renamed QX50, in line with Ininfiit's new naming conventions.

Does anyone know how to adjust the distance on the NAV? Every time I type in a business, if there is one 500 hundred miles away it pulls it up. I then have to sort by distance. Maybe a minor thing, but considering the car you think it could tell I don't want to spend 8 hours driving to Walmart. Anyone know if you can change this in a setting?

Interesting question, i was always doing the same thing you were doing but if they can be set on close distance first, we wouldnt have to press the by distance button anymore.

by default it is set alphabetically they you can search through nearby Poi's and select category and then you have distance option.

Yes its not logical... it should automatically query location based on poi search.. maybe in the update.

Welcome to NICO, benudell!!

This is not the only design aspect that doesn't make sense on this car, but overall, I think you'll find the EX to be a pleasure.

Cheers,David

My husband and I have had our 2010 EX35 for a week now (dark currant/chestnut, fully loaded ). I took it out today and was playing with the NAV system. I can't figure out how to get the display to indicate the projected arrival time for my destination. It only shows how many minutes until I get there. I know this is not a big deal, but I like to see the arrival time (hate to do the math) The only GPS I've ever had is a Garmin Nuvi, which does show arrival time. I've looked at the NAV manual and don't see anything. Can anyone out there help??

i dont think that is an option. I think it's either, time until destination, or else the clock time. too lazy to go out to the car right now, i'll let you know when i head out for dinner LOL

We have had ours for about 3 wks now and still learning and making it as friendly as I can for the wife. However, I've had my Acura for almost 4 yrs. and has same sort of issues. Overall I like this HD based nav over my Acura's DVD based one. Then again, 4 years newer.
