Is it possible to install the Bosch Nav unit available in the 2011 model in a 2010 Rogue with the Bose premium radio. If not what is the best aftermarket nav system to install in the rogue?

The factory NAV unit is horrendously expensive. About $3000 new. You would be far further ahead to buy an aftermarket unit. I have a preference for Kenwood units (ie DNX6960) as the NAV interface is done by Garmin.

I purchased a 2013 Rogue without the SL package. However, now I would like a navigation system. Is there a way to use the current LCD as a navigation screen? I heard this was possible, anyone has any tips or suggestions?

It appears as though the '13 Rogue uses a double din sized tuner. It'll probably be cheaper to just install an aftermarket DD audio head unit that includes a navigation. Click on the following link for more information on aftermarket navigation options. http://www.crutchfield.com/g_182350/In- ... l?tp=20222

I don't know whom you've been talking to, but they're pulling your leg. The short answer is, it can't be done. The simplest solution is to follow seldomseen's advice.

You bought the SV without the sunroof or the base model? If it's the former, I wouldn't necessarily give up so quickly. I'm not sure which head unit comes in the SV without the premium package that includes navigation and sunroof, but I would research that first before buying an aftermarket head unit.

I'm fairly certain I've posted this before, but I can't find it. Anyway, there are multiple different head units installed in the Rogue. Just because it has an LCD screen does not mean you can add sat nav to it. The head unit must be designed to accept gps input. The satellite receiver is a separate unit that connects to the head unit. This drawing shows the parts required for that.

Additionally, the map system used is on an SD card that plugs into a slot in the front of the head unit, so unless yours has the card slot, it won't work.

If it was easy to take out, I'd give you my GPS radio in my 2013 Rogue. Nissan Navigation is terrible. We constantly get lost. It will tell you to turn next turn, then into the turn tell you in 1000 feet. It will also sometimes tell you to turn in 500 or so feet, and the turn is 30 feet away. We use our Garmin instead. And the dealer took the card out and upgraded it for us but it still didn't help.

Is the Bose 6 disc to Nav a straight HU swap? The JBL system in my Sequoia was a simple swap and am hoping my wife's 2010 Rogue would be the same way. We are moving in a few months and her having nav in her car would be nice.

Merged with existing thread (2013 is first gen, just like your model, so this applies).

It's not a straight swap. Please read the previous posts in this thread. Also take a look at this thread: post6686013.html

Would love to know if this is possible though. I have a 2010 and the factory nav units are so cheap now if it's possible and as simple as swapping the parts out - that'd be amazing.

Please read the previous posts. In short it would be far cheaper and easier to buy a decent aftermarket unit.
