The nav WILL work with the VSS signal cut BUT the screen will not refresh fast enough for practial use. In other words, you will be missing a lot of turns.foolio wrote:I use it with my iphone and composite AV cable output ... lets my passenger and the kids watch TV.
Also to be able to fully control the NAV unit while moving.
The wiring diagrams above are for the NAV EX AWD 2010
I would highly recommend verifying the factory service manual page posted is for your NAV equiped car. On the G35/G37, the wire harness is different between nav / non-nav cars. I would assume the same for the EX. If done properly, the mod works.rubbersidedown wrote:Steve the Tech,
I know this topic has been discussed thoroughly as to the 08 and 09 modifications. Yet, I don't recall seeing anyone clearly post that these mods in an EX with nav would allow unrestricted access to the blocked functions for the music box. I am sick of not being able to search for an album while moving. I am a lawyer and I want to boil the lawyers who came up with this idea! So, can anyone confirm for me that the mods as described in the sticky post for the 09 EX with nav will unlock the music box search feature. Also, has anyone noticed nav not working correctly after these mods were made? Thanks,
RSD
Where is this wiring depicted on the diagram located in ex35?foolio wrote:I actually ended up buying the 2010 service manual from infinihelp.com - worth it....
here's the new wiring diagram attached.
But basically, you are looking for wire #65-Violet (Parking) and #82-red (VSS). Color on mine matched the manual.
Good luck
I don't care about watching video while driving, but I do want to be able to have full NAV and Audio functions while driving. Does cutting the VSS signal really cause the NAV to work slower, causing you to miss turns?terrycs wrote:
