Hey guys,

Im assuming everyone with an Altima coupe has low mileage on the car b/c of its recent release date. This is my first new car and was wondering if i should do my first few "xx" oil changes with regular oil. I've heard that synthetic is for cars that have i guess, broken in. Im going to stick with regular oil for my first few oil changes then synthetic. What do you guys think? What mileage is good for synthetic stuff? Also, i know that regular oil is better for new cars b/c all the junk that comes out of a new engine, you can easily buy more oil at a cheaper price and thus change more often.Anyways, suggestions.

I was told by my dealer that the car was issued oil that was told by Nissan, which is synthetic, and sticking with synthetic should be fine, as well as the oil grade. It's all based on Nissan's standard, so it was the oil they produce and tell buyers to use. So the quality coming from the factory should be just as good.

On ClubRSX most said they switched to Synthetic around 20k-30k km.

I switched around 20k with Mobil 1 5W-30 but it was burning and had to top up my Acura RSX. I read amazing reviews about Castrol's German Synthec 0W-30 so I switched again and absolutely loved it...No Burning, Smoother.

My sister and I got 4 Free Oil Changes from our dealer so, I'll switch after we use it.
