Well the Nats is another name for the key. The keys on the 350 have a chip in it that needs to be programed by the dealer or a locksmith.

You can probably bypass it. You might consult with a local alarm shop that has worked with adding remote start systems to Nissans with immobilizer systems. Though, if he can integrate it into the car, he can probably reduce the chances of the car being stolen a great deal.

I thought you were talking about that hair removal stuff from austrailia

And yeah there is definitely a way to by pass the switch. You just have to have a wiring diagram of the car so the ignition signal goes directly from the key switch to the ecu.

While it's definitely possible, it may not be as simple as that. I did some light research on these things while handling auto theft claims and many systems require multiple SPDT relays coupled with various resistors and other IC components. You don't think manufacturers would go through so much trouble only to make it that easy to bypass such a system do you?

I know this thread is more than a half a year old but. I'm trying to figure out the same deal. The only differences is that I'm using an 02 maxima ECU which does not require a BCM like the 03's and on do in all nissans. Has anyone came up with a way around it? it would make my wiring job probably harder but if i can bypass but in the end, it would make the whole swap cheaper.

you can try... http://www.autoalarmpro.com/inc/sdetail/2699On my s14 project I'm going to look at getting a stock '03 350z ecu to run in the s14, with a BCM, NATS antenna and all the good electronic crap running in the car. I want to use the UTEC which I'm familiar with as the piggy back tuning system, there aint a true < 5,000 dollar EMS standalone system that can handle all the fucntions of the ECU yet. I thought the hydra was gonna be it, but they still require the stock ECU to run the CAN system. standalone my *** in that case.

get the 02 maxima FSM and give me your email address and ill email you a colored wiring diagram. I can not find a BCM refer to in the FSM or wiring diagram I got. And the NATS antenna is a dongle that goes around the ignition lock assembly. I bolted the 02 maxima ignition lock to the 240sx column. I have an extra one if you would like to purchase it, and I have a NATS dongle to send with it too. I'm getting as much of the stock wiring and I'm going to use the maxima under dash harness and gauge cluster temporarly untill i go with a stand alone that will suite my needs.

As far as i understand in order to get the NATS to function properly, you need a couple of things

The nats dongleThe Smart entrance computerMaxima ignition lock assembly or 350z

anyone wants the 02 maxima FSM or colored wiring diagram or other parts give me an email at [email protected] or aim me at nismos134.

If you want your car running right away. VQSWAP.com sells an AEM preloaded with a tune to get your vq running, And they also sell a wiring harness to go with that AEM but you need to get injector harness off of a 350z. But everything you need to get it running from them will run you about 2500 not including that 350z harness. And according to Andrew @ VQswap from a conversation I had with him at the track they are able to get 270 hp out of a 350z setup, now music was playing really loud and I did not catch if that was WHEEL HP or CRANK HP, either way that is way more power than a SR!

Now there is one answer that I can not get from anyone.

How is the speedo going to read?
