Nasty sound coming from clutch assembly/bell housing???

I finally got all the problems fixed so i could put the transmission back on my 93 hatch after installing a centerforce dual friction clutch and pressure plate. Took it out for the first drive and after about 5 minutes i get this loud kind of grinding/winding noise when i push the clutch in to shift. The noise winds down with the rpms. I drive in home immediately and when i stop in my drive way it makes a lower pitched winding sound when i let the clutch out in neutral. My car has been out of commission for almost two weeks now because of one hang up after another and now this. What could it be??? Could i have run it too hard too soon?? i need help asap so i dont get fired for missing too many days of work!

when you in-gage the clutch does it stop? (the wierd sound)

Sounds like the throwout bearing, did you install it correctly?

I'm pretty sure i installed it correctly, i dont see any other way to do it really.

I'll agree throw out bearing. When you dis-ingage the clutch does the sound go away? Thats with the pedal in, does the sound stop? When you release the pedal (ingage the clutch) Does the sound start back? If so, it's the (release bearing) throw out bearing same thing.

I have a similar problem but when I push the clutch in I get the same sound but when I take my foot off the clutch pedal it goes away, whats the deal with that?
