Alright, so I washed my car today because of this: Eww! That bugged me all week.

Pollen is Satan. It forms a layer of piss-yellow evil upon cars, especially black ones. Luckily, the pollen is starting to die down a little around here. If I didn't park right next to a pine tree at school it might be better...

AZ- when I get the money. I can't decide whether to do suspension or exhaust first... see, there's that horrid wheel gap to deal with. The question is, which is worse? The gap or the whiny sound coming out the rear? From the front. she screams like a beast, sucking air like a the vacuum of space. Then you get to the rear and it's that airy, majorly-resonatory sound that whines of constriction...

So, here's the balance: JIC FLT-A1s (at least $1k) in about a month and a half after Labor Day, OR custom BRM setup from you for, I believe you quoted me at $565, which would be maybe 4 weeks after Labor Day, probably 2.

exhaust, the a1's can wait. brm makes awsome stuff from what ive seen, and it will give you some extra power to play with

That's what I'm leaning toward. In large part because it means I get something sooner and because coilovers are a huge investment and it gives me time to decide if I really want to go that way rather than Koni Yellows with H&R Sports.

yep yep. always good to give it some time before you make a huge investment like that. think about if you really need those over koni and h&r's when your mostly on the street

Here's a repeat of a post in Infiniti General:

I usually use Greased Lightning for my wheels along with a brass 'tooth'brush. Worked pretty well in the past, though it required a fair amount of effort.

Simple Green was on sale today in a spray bottle at Wal-Mart so I decided it to try it.

First of all, I recommend gloves. As I type this, my hands are burning like hell, like I dunked them in a bucket of gasoline.

Second, its AMAZING. Just a couple sprays started eating up all that caked on brake dust and dirt. A simple wipe with a rag did the trick. The piepans are a thing of beauty, theyre just underappreciated. :)

I'll shut up now and post some pics:Above: A wheel before Simple Green.

Above: A wheel after Simple Green.

Above: That kid with the Porsche Cayenne came over while I was in the driveway. He bumped up to 20" chrome wheels and added an exhaust upgrade. The sound is incredible. Too bad its ugly as sin and doesnt drive like its worth $80k.

Above: The borefest that is our garage. A 2004 Acura MDX, 2003 Lexus LX470, and 2000 Honda Civic occupy all three bays. Two overweight boxes on wheels and an econoturd.

Above: The Q after wheels cleaned and tires sprayed and a coat of Turtlewax Colorcure. I don't mind parking in front outside. It keeps the neighbors from thinking we have no taste. :D

Next week: Chain guides, AC belt, idler pulley. Booyeah!

My stepsister was parking there first before I moved in last year.
