More than one word: Go to the guys website... I visited it about 8 months ago.. That car is BAD A$$!! Auto or not it will tear apart almost ANY 240. Unfortunately he has since littered it with grotesque graphics. I didn't revisit the link that he provided, so I 'm not sure how his website has changed.. but that car was built right.. this guy knows his s***. I would seriously cream my shorts to own that thing... and it's only $16,500... plus another 2K to rip off the graphics and repaint it! I would encourage any of you to visit his website.. it is very educational and informative. The guy is a pilot, and he seems like he'd be a cool guy to build a car with.

Alright... so you dump the wing and the graphics, repaint it (I hate white) and pop a 5speed in, though a transmission swap would be expensive, then I'd drive it... all the time... every day... till I'm dead... Why can't we all have 500hp?

MaineImport is right. i first read and saw this car months ago, and damn is it ever a street rapist. i think he's done a good job on it, sad to see it being sold.

minus the vinyl, its a dream car

I'd buy that car and leave it how it is.

Why do people think ALL graphics are rice? They're not. That car is a custom turbo with 318rwhp! The graphics are done tastefully enough and they look fine.

It's a nice car without the ugly vinyl and wing, but the automatic is a dealbreaker. I'm happy he won NOPI event with it, but that win cost him thousands of $$$. I hope he felt it was worth it.

I don't think it's ricey so much as just plain ugly. The Silvia badges might be considered rice... but I think he's done enough to that car to make it pretty much worthy...

I remember seeing that guys website awhile back too, I just read it all and was just amazed at how much work he put into his car. He absolutely knows what he's doing, but when u guys complained about stickers, i looked at the pics, and didn't see anything wrong with them. Not ALL stickers are rice, they can be well done too. Don't be biast towards graphics on a car b/c all ricers do. And maybe it is an automatic, but that guys car has to be fast, auto or not, how many people here can beat the power under that hood?? Any takers?

>>that car is fast, but still only one word- automatic. why, lord, why, would you do that to an auto<<

Is this a 240sx forum or a stick shift forum?? Whats up with hating the car cuz its automatic??

Hey stud, maybe this guy lost his right arm and cannot manipulate a stick shift. Do you have something against people with missing appendages? Way to go. Hating someone because they're imperfect. I'm imperfect. Do you hate me too? WTF? Bring it, woman! :rant

It's not that I hate autos, it's just that it makes no sense to me as to why you would bother giving it all that power if you can't track it very well. Not to say he couldn't track it, but it wouldn't be nearly as competitive with cars that have similar power numbers. On top of that, manuals are just more fun.

Some of the fastest track cars in the world are auto's! It is really just personal preference when you have that much power loaded into it. The overwhelming majority of muscle cars that I have seen at the drag strip are auto's with Herst shifters... total driver input... with a faster shift than humanly possible... I wouldn't want to drive an auto.. but I would not swap the transmission in this car unless it blew out... Look at all the mods to the auto trans.. I bet it shifts exactly where he wants it.. and doesn't lag at all. Auto's can be "track"ed VERY well.... Ford built a BOSS Mustang for a head to head duel against a Chevy Camaro in 1999. They were both built up beyond comprehension... and the Ford designers decided to use the auto transmission with a herst shifter... they blew the ever-loving doors off the Chevy in all 3 runs... TLC did a documentary about it.... totally cool.

You mean paddle-shifters or tiptronic style stuff. I'm talking regular automatics, like this guy has.

Upon re-reading your post, I noticed you mentioned mods to the transmission. I, once again, stand corrected. He does have a very special auto. I still wouldn't like to have an auto in my car... oh wait, I don't have a car! : : slaps head : :

Yeah.. when I first visited his website, (maybe it was more than 8 months ago) there were no decals on the car.... he went overboard with the asthetics.. GTR is just a little too much. I am willing to bet he did it to get the NOPI win and impress little rice fans.. because the guy is too old and respectable to be doing such a nonsense job on the outside for his own enjoyment. He also probably figures he'll get more money for it, because some little punk will pay for the car based on looks.

You can still get road head with a stick. Hit the interstate, throw it in fifth and sit back and relax. Plus soccer moms and truckers can look down on you and be jelous.

totally agree with you there. and bench seats. bucket seats with a console in the middle suck in a time of oral sex. Still does the trick though :)
