NOTE to those moderators: I did the search (clearly it needs to be enabled for those who doesn't have an account) and nothing popped up other than a thread (with 3 posts) saying how the seats are going to be in the 2014 model in 2013.

So I have done lots of long distance driving with my Rogue, and the only downside I find with it is the seats. Apparently, I am not getting the "seats are comfortable" part as these seats are causing me to get back-pain for no reason. I am constantly trying to find the right position. Can someone please explain the mechanical and techniques that went behind designing these seats and how is it comfortable? I feel like Honda makes the seats more comfortable compared to these seats.

Zero Gravity Seats: Comfy or not? Compared to the 1st gen, yes they're comfy.

That's expected from gen to gen, but from manufacturer to manufacturer. Basically, I am asking how comfy it is from Honda (regardless of the model) to Nissan (regardless of model). I saw the link, in which it says that Nissan has science with its seats, and I do agree with that. But I am not sure how it works, that's the issue.

I cannot find anywhere in the owner's manual or online material that the Rogue has zero gravity seats. Zero gravity seats in my 2015 Altima were alot different than my current 2017 or previous 2015 Rogue SV. I felt that the Altimas was a little more comfortable.

It should be stated on the window sticker on the Rogue. This makes more confusion on why Nissan made the seats more comfortable in the Altima than the Rogue if the market trend has moved from sedans & coupes to crossovers.

Zero Gravity seats have been part of the redesigned Rogue since it hit the market.
2014 Nissan Rogue Press Kit: Overview
The new Rogue's front bucket seats are a special "zero gravity"-inspired design. Similar to the Nissan Altima's front seats, the articulated seat shape provides continuous support from the pelvis to the chest, helping reduce fatigue over long periods behind the wheel.

Well besides being in the official press release for the past four years, it's listed as a feature on the official website as well. In the owners manual (Rogue, Altima etc.) they're simply referred to as seats for the sake of simplicity. They're used in all trim levels, plus the phrase isn't trademarked, and there's no special settings to enhance the Zero-G "feel", so it's just easier to print the single word 'seat' in the book.
2017.5 Rogue Features
With an inspired design and an available quilted leather-appointed interior – Rogue’s a nice place to be. And with optional details like heated Zero Gravity front seats that provide extra support and even warm you up quicker, you’ll want to stay a while.

I find the seats are fairly comfortable for daily driving. I have the leather and baby it with conditioner and regular cleaning. I've have passengers rave about the rear seats and how comfortable they are, a frequent compliment is on how high up they sit, allowing a view of the road ahead.

Just a personal observation, but I wish the lumbar support would extend a bit further.
