name this wire

Information on the naturally-aspirated KA24E and KA24DE engines.

anyone know whats the wire for in the transmission harness thats the thickest one in the harness and its black and red and the ends look like you put them on something, there not plugs.

Black with a red line? And is it a lil square type thing with a hole in it? If so it might be your starter power wire. Trace it back. If it goes to your battery then yeah it is. I don't know any other thick black/red wire on the harness.

i think you might be right...where does the main line from the positive terminal go then? this one is solid red.

i wish i could get pics.

It goes on the seloniod on the starter. The bottom bolt of the two. Should have a nut on it. It not get a nut and tighten it down.

so does the the main red wire from the battery go to the solenoid circle on the pic?? where does the black/red one go?

There should be a wire that clips on to a clip on the starter. That's a ground. Then the wire that comes off the battery goes to the solinoid.

where on the pic is this clip? if its even there...

It's the only wire comming from the starter itself. The wire that is on the right of the two starters in the pic. Should be a clip hanging right next to it from your lower wireing harness.

i already have that plug, plugged in. that wire's not the big black/red one...the b/r is much thicker and has a ring on the end as if it would bolt on to something

Yeah that wire bolts on to the starter nut....

so heres the end of the b/r wire thats down by the starter area...its really thick and has that round end look: its the one in my hand...and its from the transmission harness

and heres the other end of it, i looks like it would go on a battery terminal??? im not sure:
