i saw it on a magazine once, wish i wrote the type and brand done

its for cars with camber, the inside is a harder compound, for less wear, and the middle is kind of normal compound, and the outside is softer, so it all wears at almost the same time, anyone heard of it???

I have 4 of them, almost new still if you are looking for a set. They are 215/45/17 I think.

multi compound tires usually suck

eithre fix your camber, raise your car, or dont worry about tire wear.

my tires last for 30 miles at a time, so i could care less about wear.

loli have 215/45/17 falken ziex, and they cost about 100 a tire mounted, really not worth it, and they only last me freakin 5000+ miles, i have camber kit installed in front, and my toe and caster is all within OEM spec, im stuck, im bout 2 rip out my shocks and springs or get junk tires arghh

how are the neogens btw, i believe the ziex have treadwear of about 320??

if your all within OEM spec then you are driving too hard, which means stop complaining because its your own fault!

p.s. treadwear ratings are manufacturer specific.

meaning a 300 from falken is not the same as a 300 from hankook. its a crock of **** cooked up by the tire companies to sell more tires.its only usefull to compare tires within brand, not crossbrand.

yea i know, i wish i had the $$ to sign up for drift 101 classes here in south cali, i know ima make a idiot out of myself, since everyone theres a pro basically according 2 my mechanic, the uneven wear of the tire wont give correct reslults, so i gotta get new ones. greatwhats the chance of the TC rods gone bad?

I say get some smaller rims that you can get a set of tires for 100$

TC rod as in traction control rod or tension control rod?

Tension Control Rod is located in the front of the car linking up the front lower control arm (bottom of front knuckle) & the tension rod bracket (which can be replaced by the nismo power brace).

Traction Control Rod is located in the rear of the car connected the rear spindle to the subframe. This is the shortest arm closest to the front of the wheel well.

Thanks, i checked em outim having treadwear issues in the front, so it cant be traction rods

i honestly dont know wat 2 do, alignment showscamber/caster/toe in place in the front and it still wearing away on the insideZIEX 512, and ive had em for about 6,000 miles, and i gotta get new ones soon

Can you list exactly what your alignment settings are? I know you said OEM spec, but it would help just to at least see it to easily eliminate any possibility of alignment being the problem.

Also, what are your tire pressures? They could possibly be a little too low.

Nitto Neo Gens are okay... My good friend tried them on his car. Not the stickiest of tires, but decent. Most of us don't have a problem w/ the inside wear tho, we go to enough autox events to have more wear on the outside, hee hee.

Tension rods control caster. Caster does not cause tire wear. But increased caster will increase camber in a turn. Pics of the tire wear will help.

Not directly, but having uneven caster (left & right) will cause ur car to go left or right, so you have to counter while going straight, basically always needing to "turn". Just elaborating on your point .
