Well looking to see if you guys can help me out..

What are these set of plugs for?

Another question, my clutch pedal just springs back and forth it'll either stick to firewall or pull on it and it shoots back at "home" position. I'm aware it needs fluid pumped through probably but could there be another explanation. Currently the car won't start and I think that my clutch safety switch is the reason cause that sensor behind the pedal doesn't have anything plugged in to it.. Sorry for all the questions. Any kind of help would be appreciated.

Car is an 89 coupe with ka24de swapped in but never finished (got it this way)

I believe that is the little sub harness for the glove box and passenger foot area lights. Correct me if I'm wrong but if I recall, only a couple of plugs on the whole car have that faded brownish plastic around it. One being the consult plug and I'm fairly positive the foot area lights have them as well.

As for the clutch pedal, check and make sure it's connected to the linkage under the dash. If that's good then move to the driver side of the engine bay. You will see the brake master cylinder right on the firewall on the driver side, beside it should be a smaller slave cylinder which is for the clutch pedal. Make sure it has fluid (brake fluid works), and make sure the hard line is connected. If that checks out you'll then have to check under the car and make sure it is connected under there. When everything is connected you will need to refill the slave cylinder and give it a good bleeding. Let me know how everything goes.

Thanks man, will do.

Also I've got another question, I can't seem to find the plug for the clutch safety switch under the dash. Car won't start at all. It doesn't crank or anything. So I'm thinking it might be the clutch safety switch.. I know I can bypass it but don't really want to..
I'll try and get some more pictures up tonight cause I have a few questions about some other stuff. I think I have an auto harness from an s14 ka24..

Funny thing, I just went through the exact thing that you're going through now. Bought my 240 had a 96' KA in it. The guy before me tried to fit the s14 harness in the entire chassis. I've had to rip all that crap out and replace it. It's been hell so far and I don't want anyone to have to go through all the trial and error and hundreds of hours of research that I have had to. I'm driven by my passion for another 240sx and it's kept me wrenching away on this car for the past 2 years. I want you to succeed as I almost gave up myself. If you have any questions, no matter how silly or trivial it may seem, just ask and I'll do my best to try and answer them.

Should I drop the money on a new harness for an s13 ka24de?

Okay yeah, I finally got some info from the previous owner. The harness if for an automatic. I'm thinking about ordering a new harness from wiring specialties. But could anyone tell me or point me in the right direction? I want to know what on the harness I need and what I can drive (daily) without.? I just want bare essentials. If anyone can help I'd appreciate that so much.

I used an auto harness for mine. The only thing is you'll have some unused plugs. No big deal really, just makes it more confusing if you're starting from scratch like I did.

As for bare essentials, the only things I have on mine are power steering and heat; no AC, cruise control, or ABS. I also took off the clutch fan and added electric fans with a 3 row aluminum radiator and a new aluminum overflow tank. I've heard horror stories of that plastic tank cracking and shorting out the fuse box... Doesn't sound like fun lol.

Yeah I'm starting from scratch basically. I mean missing hardware all over and plugs sitting around. I think the car won't start because the clutch safety switch. But the clutch pedal acts like a spring still. I attempted bleeding it but no air was coming out. It was like the system had plenty of fluid in it. I'll try it some more. But I'm going to attempt to put it back together and try again. Hopefully I can find the clutch safety switch plug. I guess I was curious at what plugs I need and don't need.

I think my clutch safety switch works backwards or something. When I press it in it won't start but if I leave my foot off the clutch it'll start right up... Have you tried that yet?

Yeah it does nothing but it's not plugged in and I don't know where the plug is.. I think that's because it's an auto harness.. I'm lost on what to do..

Mine is a 2 prong blue plug with a brown wire/white stripe and a black wire going into it. It should be on there, mine is an auto harness as well.

Try to get a pic of the harness under the dash and I can tell real quick which harness it is.

If I have to bypass it then guess I'll have to. I don't care anymore I just want to drive the car and it seems like your the only one who's willing to help me. Forums are useless anymore.

Well, change of plans..
Not using the coupe anymore. Going to swap the ka over to the hatch parts car I have. While it's out I'm buying a new harness, and new motor mounts and replacing anything else that needs replaced because I'd be a lot more happier with it. I appreciate your help ruckus, thank you. I'll be getting the motor pulled and starting a build thread this weekend hopefully.
