Ok, so I cross-posted here and on G20.net hoping *someone* would know what this is and what it does.

Here are a couple of clues...

1. I found it in the door panel, unattached to anything, and couldn't figure out where it goes.2. The door seems to work just fine without it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Part of the window mechanism possibly? Do you have manual or power windows?

Looks like a brace for the lock cylinder.
