Name that hose!

It used to connect to a nozzle that broke off my airbox. What is it and why would I need to reattach it?

I think that's the EGR hose? It's part of the emissions control system.

AIV hose. it allows air to go into the exhaust for some stupid reason. its known to cause problems. plug the hole on your airbox and put a breather filter on the hose.

or you could take out your aiv altogether, and plug the hole on the airbox, and while youre at it, clean off your airbox, das ugly.
