ok so my next step after my swap (92' to 89') is to get a Plenum Air Intake of some kind...

Greddy has one for around $599 - $789Ebay have some knock offs for about $150 - $250

Pretty much an intake is an intake, the filter is the only thing that really makes a difference.

He's talking about the actual manifold, not the plumbing.

If you're talking about SR manifolds, I would recommend buying the real deal. Ebay manis tend to have bad castings. I, however, don't like the upgraded manis any way you look at it. My personal preference is to have a long runner manifold to flatten my torque curve out. The short runners give you a bit more peak power, but you sacrifice torque output (less torque and it's spikier)

Really for anything 450-500 hp and under a stock manifold is going to be best. If your not going for huge HP, you dont want an aftermarket IM for the reasons above. You will lose a lot of power throughout the curve and gain little on the top end.
