So I bought this 2011 Altima 2.5s and even though a nice car, I felt like I should of bought a SL package. Oh, well.. So I decided to give my car the 3.5 SR Treatment (Minus The Engine)

Here is how it looked the day I bought it.

Nice ride, I know and I love the color.

Since then I researched like crazy on doing modifications. First I wanted to start with was the headlights. Before I worried about the rest of the car I want the best night vision. So, I went through HID hell but after all the wasted money on various kits on ebay and local shops here in portland. I discovered Morimoto Elite HID Systems. Since then, I haven't looked back. These are the best kits bar none.

The entire Kit cost $166 Total. I spent more than that on the previous kits combined! lol..

After installing the HID kit i realized that even though the light output is nice, I wanted projectors installed. So I figured I would look on ebay and order some projector lenses. Except, They did not exsist. Then I found a retrofitter only 15 miles away and had him try to retro-fit some spare lenses I have. With no success, the job was proven too difficult. So, I found out the reason.. Permaseal. This stuff that Nissan uses to seal their lights great for the elements... Bad for retrofitters.

Fear not! I found a Canadian Retrofitter who quoted me $400 dollars to do it and he showed me successful retrofits so, I will be using his services.

Now, the Mods go on.
First I added the AVH-8400BH Pioneer Deck .
Great stereo and awesome display! I installed a hi-def backup camera as well.

* I ordered the Ebay $119 Painted special Spoiler. I came as a perfect match and looks awesome! See Below.

Much better look than naked. I disconnected the third brake light and wired into the LED on the spoiler.

* Then I decided, I'm not much of a chrome guy (never really was) So, after discovering from Altima forums about Plasti-Dip, I tried out my grill first.

I loved this look so, I thought Next will be the rear trim piece above the license plate. See Below.

I ordered the 3.5 Mirrors with the turn, heat and fold. Im going to spray those NAD Sonoma Sunset. And because of similar forums, I can wire them up to use all the features. (Just waiting on a sunny day)

Update: 4-15-2013: Cruising through craigslist, I found a set of 2008 Altima rims that have an awesome look to them. In great condition and would add an even hotter look to my ride. I paid $120 for the whole set! Score! I replaced my wheel and hubcap combo.

But wait, since my trim is Dipped.. How hot would those rims look Plasi-Dipped? OOooohh...

I don't care about having 17,18,19,20" Tires/Rims. I like the way these look.

My future mods so far as follows:
*35% Tint all around
*Nismo Front and rear Kit
*LED rear tail light assemblies
*Replace Interior lights with LEDs
*Black Eyelids
*OEM Fog Light Kit with OEM Switch not some ebay knock off.

Any Suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks,
David A.

Sweet grill!!!
After few months, how's the Plasti-dip holding up? My '10 OEM chrome grill has some scratches now so back-out sounds like good fix.

Do you still have this car? I just purchased one and I want to upgrade the stereo. Curious to see pics and hear how it went for you. Thanks.
