NA TT ECU on a JDM TT engine?

If I buy a stock NA TT ecu and swap it with the JDM one I have on my JDM engine, will it work?

The car is running insanely rich, I smell gas all the time it's horrible -- just want to get it running properly and then get the new ECU tuned -- I am told my current JDM ecu has a flash not a ROM.

These ECUs cant be flashed direct, if it has a flash it has a non OEM EPROM. Essentially you cant have one without the other. If your JDM ECU has an aftermarket tune then a factory tuned ECU will make your car run like crap, likely because you have upgraded injectors and your K value doesn't match the physical size so you are dumping too much fuel into the car.
