What's up my name is Jordan my story starts about a month ago. My good friend and I were looking for a car to fix up and sell. After a week of looking on Craigslist we stumble across a good looking tt in North Carolina (we're from va) anyway it's been siting for 1 year and it was for 2,500. Anyways my friend doesn't want to go through with it even though its a steal have aftermarket almost everything. So after that I started looking and doing research on Z's and ends up getting myself a 1993 300ZX NA. On the way home started being stupid and may have slightly gone over the speed limit and blew the tire clean off lol. Anyways next day got a new tire and took the engine out. I went down to a JDM shop and picked up a tt engine. But after I did research on this engine I found out I had gotten an auto tt engine which means the Turbos are small the cams are different and possibility the harmonic balancer. But I called the shop and they said they will change out the engine.
Anyways if you plan on swapping a NA engine with a TT engine these are the things I found I needed.
1. Oil Pan (engines that are shipped are more than likely going to have a bent oil pan)
2. Wiring Harness (cars in Japan have ECU in left side of car so Wiring harness will need to be fixed)
3. Clutch (because you are getting more torque you'll want to upgrade the clutch too)(if you keep the stock trans)
4. ECU (you can tune it or get a TT ECU)
5. Fuel Pump (some say you can stick with you stock fuel pump but I don't trust it plus the TT fuel pump holds up to 600hp and better then most aftermarket ones if you look at psi)
6. Intercooler (this is another big purchase you can find stock intercooler(2) + piping(4) around $680)
7. Fuel Pressure Regulator (they say you can stick with the stock one but I have herd of it not working with some People)
8. Exhaust (my exhaust didn't fit correctly {it was a side exhaust})
9. Boost Gauge (I would go with a boost controller they are more expensive but I bought mine second hand)
